Local Opportunities

Partnering with local governments has always been important to KDOT. Sharing in the costs and providing financing options to local governments has enabled thousands of projects to be built that otherwise would not have been possible.

Under T-WORKS, an increased emphasis has been placed on improving the Kansas economy through the use of transportation investments. KDOT has worked to create more flexibility within its’ programs to address economic opportunities as they arise.

KDOT has also made the process of applying for a project easier. This website provides a one-stop-shop for local governments to learn about the various programs KDOT has to offer.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A PROJECT

KDOT wants to hear about your project. Feel free to contact KDOT early on if you have any questions or just to discuss whether your project might be eligible for any of the programs

   QUESTION: Does the project require quick action to capitalize on an economic opportunity? YES A decision will be made within 45 days NO Projects will be pooled and decisions will be made annually
